Our stories were meant to be similar to the way that Edgar Allan Poe writes. We followed his theme of irony and the way he develops his characters. The story from Violet's point of view was written by Kelsey and the story from Rose's point of view was written by Claire. Violet was developed to be a girl who is mentally insane while Rose is an innocent girl who plays a video game as her escape from a hard life. The story takes something that may slightly bother a human being and has Violet take this feeling and expand on it until it is over the top.
We both recommend reading the story from Violet's perspective first to help with the understanding of the story.
P.S. The story from the perspective of Violet was meant to model the writing style of Edgar Allan Poe more than the other story. Rose's story was meant to seem like a normal teenager was speaking so this isn't as complicated of a writing style.
